I'm annoyed if it's been here all along and I didn't notice it, but I don't think it's in LP6. The logic is a little curious. If you look under the Arrange window's local View menu, you'll see that if Track Names and Instrument names are enabled, then both the track and the program name are displayed. But if Track Names is disabled and Instrument Names is enabled, you don't see the programs; if Track Names is enabled and Instrument Names is disabled, you do see them. In any case, this is a feature I've been wanting for a long time, and I'm very happy to see it. Now if there were a way of seeing the program names on the channel strips (Audio objects). :) Nick Batzdorf, editor/publisher Virtual Instruments magazine - the world of softsynths and samplers www.Virtualinstrumentsmag.com 1-877 VImagzn (846-2496) 818/905-9101, cell 590-9101

That would be a biggie for me... best, Nathan ___ Nathan Rosenberg Music Production The Doghouse NYC www.doghouseNYC.com

As someone else described it (the preset name showing up even if you haven't named the track), that looks like a new feature. But I will tell you that in Logic 6 if you have your arrange track large enough (vertical zoom), the preset name of the softsynth appears underneath the track name. If the track size is decreased, it disappears and only the top remains (the track name). I've seen it many times. GK
