Subject: [LUG] midi crash with parker midi guitar
Message #202614
Anyone else have this problem? I have a parker midifly midi guitar. It works pretty well as a midi input source. The problem is, there are some buttons near the bottom left of the guitar (they supposedly control the kind of midi output from the parker, whether pitch bend information is sent from the guitar or not) , which, when hit, *crash OS X midi* to the point where a restart is required. This wouldn't be a huge problem, because I could just avoid hitting the switches if I wanted, but, the big problem is that hitting these switches actually crashes all incoming midi data in a given Logic songs -- that is, it is no longer possible to do any midi input into the particular logic song after its midi has been crashed in this way. So what I have to do is actually totally rebuild the song from scratch every time I inadvertently send logic this midi data. I've unchecked the 'midi remote' box in key commands, but that hasn't solved it. Any ideas? www.alexanderperls.com
