Dear Mike.. Thats true, but yesterday i upgrated from 1,7Ghz to 3.0 on an new assus board. Even if all my projects are damaged very serius, it still has Overload. System works on 35% and Logic holds. My upgrade gave me i believe only 600hz more I noticed a buffer setting into Soundcards settings, but i found no difference... I wonder if there is a solution of routing the cpu's cycles YOurs

You should then mute tracks one by one and bypass plugins one by one to see where the overload is comming from...also could depend on what soundcard your running and how much that requires to playback audio...and make sure you have the latest drivers for your soundcard. Also upgradign your CPU will improve performance but how much ram you have will more of a effect especially when trying to playback audio, run plugins and softsynths or samplers. -- Regards Mike
