Whether he wants to upgrade to 7 or not, really depends on what he wants from it. Logic 7 even works on my iBook G3, and runs nicely on my G4/400 albeit a bit sluggish in the arrange window. For me the upgrade was definitely worth it because I was still on platinum 5, and hence had a lot of new features I wanted (most of them were probably in 6 too, but upgrading to 6 when 7 was already out would have been a waste of money). So, what is your colleague looking for in 7 what he's missing in 6? If those features work on a G4, it's worth upgrading. He could upgrade anyway since L7 will definitely work, but the longer he waits the cheaper it gets so if he's happy with 6 or has nothing to gain from 7 on a G4, he might as well wait. Sorry I can't be more specific.. since I skipped 6, I don't know which of the cool 7 features were in 6 already. :o) Maurits.
