I was just going through the loop browser and found that when I drag
and drop a "midi"
drum loop from the browser to an instrument track, the sounds are
there but the reverb is
missing...
Where is this reverb located and how do I get it to the track, so it
sounds the same as
when I audition the loop ?
Thanks
Jacob.

When you drop a green icon to a MIDI track you get a bunch of notes.
(Some people told me to be a little more specific, so here it goes: it
works only with the green icons of the Loop Browser, not with other
green icons.)
To continue - MIDI notes are represented by numbers for pitch, velocity
and length. There is no possibility to have a reverb within the notes
and you must add one with a plugin. But many loops insert channel
setting automatically when you put them on a track. Look at those
plugins, maybe there is already a reverb ad you just have to push the
'Mix' fader a little more.
BTW - it can be an advantage that there is no reverb. Imagine you have
different loops which have also different reverbs. That rarely sounds
good and you might choose the same reverb for them anyway.

When some green AppleLoops are dropped onto an
AudioInstrument track, not all the inserts are active.
Some are bypassed.
Or it could be that you are actually unwittingly previewing
AppleLoops (from the browser) through a reverb (it uses
the last AudioChannel in your environment).

Thanks for responding guys !
That's exactly what I don't understand. The other plugs are automaticly
inseted but the
reverb is nowhere to be found. Not in the environment either ?? Not on any
other
channel...nowhere.
Where is it......it sounds great and I want to use it ;-)
Any other ideas ?

Tell us which AppleLoop it is in case I (or somebody
else) has it and can test it.
I have all the Apple Jampacks 1-4 and of course all the
Garageband loops (everybody has those with the Logic7
install).

It's the one(s) called Island Reggea Drums 01-03 (new tempo is 103). It
would be great if
you could, time permiting of course, try and drag it to an instrument track
and see what
you get. I think it's from JP 1 under Drum Kit/Urban/Grooving in the
browser...
It's not life and death, but it always bugs me if there's someting I can't
work out ;-)

Yep, know that one, just used it on sunday for a demo. Channel settings
come without a reverb. Just insert a GoldVerb after the Channel EQ,
default setting, pull the mix fader down to 10% - sound about the same
like the prelistening.

I can confirm that the audio version of these has a tiny bit
of reverb in them, but the instrument version does not.
And there isn't a Reverb insert that is bypassed.
I'm wondering if this AppleLoop was created using a send/return
method of adding reverb rather than an insert? The send/return
attributes wouldn't be inside the metadata of the AppleLoop.

F-erenc,
.....still a mystery to me ?
Peter,
Thanks for letting me re-discover GoldVerb ;-)
It did the trick.
