Subject: [LUG] Details about TDM integration?
Message #180856
Hi I've been searching around and gone through the manuals but I was wondering if someone out there who uses Logic 7 with TDM hardware can give me a hand with some info? The thing is, I absolutely love logic 7 with how it works and all of the instruments and use it on a daily basis and have been a logic user for years but I am about to move from PC to G5. I have been testing a G4 in my studio with Logic 7 and even with the new latency option of 32k, my PC with it's serial unitor 8 and the PCI 324 card still seemed more responsive latency wise. I must admit that I have not tried an actual G5 yet and am hoping that when I do get it, the latency will not be an issue. However, just as a thought, I was wanting to find out about how Digidesign hardware will integrate with Logic 7 and will it give me the zero latency I dream of, and can I for example record with zero latency but still send the recording track to a bus for a reverb etc. I know this may be wishful thinking, but I would love to know. Thanks heaps Kim
