Subject: Melodyne: anyone using it here? and how?
Message #180791
I'm thinking of buying Melodyne and need to choose between cre8 and Studio edition. I'm using Logic Pro 7 and PT24 Mix with a (currently so far) successful mix of DTDM and DAE tracks. Can anyone help me argue the toss? peter

I've never had the need to mess with more than two or three tracks, usually one, the lead vocal, or a solo instrument like a violin. Remember, you can fix the pitch on something and bounce it to another Logic track and free up a Melodyne track. Also keep in mind that Melodyne 2.6 will be the first version that works with Logic 7's AU validator, and it's not out yet as far as I know. I contact them every few weeks to see if the update is ready, and they're working hard on it, but AFAIK, it's not ready yet. James
