Here's where the customizability of Logic comes in. In my template I already have a screenset with an Arrange side-by-side with a linked Event List Editor. With the normal Link Mode (Purple - not Yellow Contents Link) engaged in the Event Editor as part of the screenset, you can set the "Q" pop-up value to "1/1" (whole notes) or whatever you prefer. This value will be remembered as part of the screenset. To do your magnetic (absolute) snap, just drag the region to near where you want it and press the "Q" button in the Event List. Voila! For relative snap (more common for most cases!), don't press the "Q" button. Overall, it's a mouse-drag and a button press, not that many moves. And best of all, you've customized Logic to _your_ workflow, which most apps aren't nearly as good at. And no, I don't work for Apple.
