Then slide the anchor point on the left side over to the start place. You can assign a keycommand to move the start and also set key commands to set the zoom levels. Then hit the TRIM command and close (or save region as file). Done. I got really fast at this having done it for about 1000 drum hits.

Subject: Splitting a region in the Matrix Editor?
Message #178813

Is it possible to split a region in the Matrix Editor? In the Matrix Editor I can see where the notes start and could ensure that I keep the notes that I want in a particular region much easier than with the arrange window. I can't seem to find a way to do it though. Kamm

It does work in the score however, but [ctrl]+[shift] doesn't seem to do what it should, ie allow you to fine tune the divide position.[option] allows you to divide to the nearest division though. Thanks for that info. That should do just as well for me. I just don't trust the note positions that I see in the arrange window. Maybe I should, but I don't. <grin> Kamm

I can't seem to find a way to do it though. No, you'll need to use the Arrange to do such region editing as splitting. If you place the SPL (Song Position Line) at the point you want to split, and then select this region in the Arrange, you'll find a keycommand for "split at SPL". f-erenc szabo, smarty pants Z+E+R+O+B+E+A+T "NOW POWERED BY THE MIRACLE OF THE TRANSISTOR!" <http://home.goodmedia.com/~zerobeat>

Ahh. So you're saying I can set the split point in the matrix editor and when I close that editor, the SPL will remain the same and I can just click on the region and choose the appropriate menu option. Great that will be handy. Thanks, Kamm
