There are multiple #41's etc. I don't find a name to be a major annoyance. I
reserve that word for bugs, extremely clumsy methodology, arcaic structure,
etc. Neither the matrix editor nor the various Matrix Modulation schemes on
synths are very close to what an actual matrix is.

Editor?

Didn't you see Star Wars? The city computer told R2D2 that they disabled the
hyper-drive on the Millenium Falcon, which R2 quickly fixed and they were
able
to jump to light speed. Also there is a city in India Hyperbad which might
be
a cool Asian dance music place, but I'm not sure. But I am sure that there
are too many Hyper's in Logic - neither of which have any meaning at all.
They
seem to be two distinct graphic editors. I think apple is already moving
away
from this term by referring to "track based automation" and
"region based
automtion".
I do with Logic would make the jump to light speed however.

Yeah, thats what I was just saying about the Audio to Groove command which
does not appear in the index under audio, groove, midi, or anywhere.

I think a "take" might have various regions that make up one
performance.
Alternative takes might be different performances. Logic is so-so about this
-
you have to create extra tracks and mute them, and later delete them. It
would
be slicker to make it more like the finder window - where you can use a
little
triangle to "open" each track to show all its takes in place - but
we have
been over this many times before and everyone agrees ... everyone but
Apple/Emagic.

Yes. That would be great. In fact, Sonar 4.0 has just that feature. It can
record multiple takes either as new tracks or as layered takes within a
single track. It is a great feature that I hope Apple's Logic team will take
note of.
