Hi, e wrote: >In Sound On Sound Len Sasso wrote about the Marquee tool Logic 6.4.2 - > >"Conveniently, drag-copying does not result in the original regions >being split." > >I can't get this to happen. I usually get the dialogue about >shortening or splitting notes etc., >or >It always splits my original regions. Perhaps it would be different for MIDI, but for audio I can drag a region with the marquee that doesn't split the original file. Unfortunately it's a (rather odd) three-step process: 1. select using the marquee 2. change tools to the arrow (regular pointer) 3. Drag the region, adding 'option' key at the end. Result will be a copied region, and no split in the original. It certainly would be easier if dragging using the marquee itself would do this, since it's a pain to switch tools all the time. Maybe there is a way, but I don't know it. steven rowat - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - web site: <http://www.rowatworks.com>; mailto:sc@...
