Subject: Logic 6.4.2/ Dual 2.0 Crashing when at rest- often!
Message #178698
Hi there, My Dual 2.0 crashes consistently if I leave a soft synth-intensive Logic Pro 6.4.2 song up, with the computer *at rest* for a few hours or overnight. When I close the Logic song and leave the computer on, it does not crash. Have gone to Macintosh for help, and they recommended disabling Quartz Extreme, which i did, did not help. I have repaired the disc, repaired disc utilities, run hardware test, looped overnight to check the RAM, etc, but it seems to be some kind of conflict with having a lot of soft synths up. If I have a simple Logic song with maybe 3 or 4 soft synths up, it does not crash. The ironic thing is that using Logic isn't crashing it, it's just when the computer is at rest for 4 or more hours. Any tips or help or empathy would be greatly appreciated. Evan in Seattle Dual 2.0/ 3GB RAM/ Logic Pro 6.4.2/ OSX.3.6
