Hi Mars, thanks for your comments :) Why did I not check "auto input monitor"... maybe because when pressing play in recmode everything worked and could be heard... I'll have a look.. Lets see if its possible to assign REC on the Mackie Control to "record toggle"... Best, Pelle

Subject: Change LC record to record toggle for punch-in (was: re:Dub/ punch in... L7)

(subject changed to perhaps catch Michael Haydn's attention) --- In logic-users@yahoogroups.com, Pelle Fridell <pellefri@a...> wrote: > Lets see if its possible to assign REC on the Mackie Control to > "record toggle"... It is - the simplest way is to change the controller assignment for the LC REC button to the key that is assigned to "record toggle". But if you do that, the red light above the REC button will not be lit when you are recording, which strikes me as a dangerous thing. Michael, is there any way to do this and have the REC light still work? Otherwise, the best workaround I've found is to assign an unused or little-used LC button to record toggle - "user", "trim", or perhaps "control" might be good candidates, but it's still a bit unsatisfactory from a layout point of view. Paint the button red...? I just enable "punch in on the fly" and then hit play to drop out - like a tape machine :-) IOW I don't use record toggle - seems to be fine -- Best Regards, Gareth Jones http://www.garethjones.com
