Does anybody have a suggestion for a plugin that helps in achieving the doppler-effect? I used to use Dr. Dop from plugin but that is gone and I am unwilling to invest into Waves. Are there even any others out there? thx kai -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- canine_at_waf80_dot_de good night europe. http://kainiggemann.de <your name here> ---------------------------------------------------------------------

If you don't need to simulate racing cars, trains or jets but more subtile movements you might be able to use a leslie - that lives on the Doppler effect. Peter Ostry

No AU, but it supposedly wraps good. Personally I use the TDM version. www.grmtools.com Bob Vandivef

Once again, I hope admin will allow this little diversion.... You may know about the Doppler effect but - Have you folks ever heard of the Dopeler effect? It's the tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly. :-) Colin

And another (from a few years ago)... 1/ Solo the track on which you want the doppler effect. 2/ Set up a microphone or two. 3/ Record-enable a track and hit Record 4/ Hold your monitor speaker cables at a point about a metre from the speakers. 5/ Now swing the speakers around your head! (Sorry...)

Why "sorry"? Recording monitor sound was always used for effects. Maybe it is easier to move a mic than the speakers :) The question was about a plugin, but recording a moving mic gives a real Doppler-effect and might be suitable for some sounds. Peter Ostry
