Subject: Stylus RMX: CPU friendly?
Message #176350
I'm working at 88.2k, and I've only got a single 1ghz G4. Just how hard does this plug hit the cpu, and how well does it manage resources depending on how many layers are going and effects are inserted? Currently, a typical song for me has 5 or 6 styli, usually 3 with my own full grooves, plus a supplemental module each for kick, snare, and perc. Each module has a comp and eq of its own, plus another comp across the drum and bass bus. I wonder if I can get that much functionality from one RMX, and whether the resources will be hit harder or not. My comps are Powercore, eq is Sonalksis, PSP VW on the bus. I appreciate any feedback. u b i k

He is willing to do a generous Group-buy offer for the L.U.G. from up to 50% discount depending on the amount of buyers! Now that's not bad, guys. To me it is the best sounding and all-round useable Grand-piano of all the ones we've been discussing in this last week! Have a look and listen at: http://www.postpiano.com/tests/Index.htm I hope that the list-moderators can pick up the group-buy details. I respond: I would agree this is a good idea, but do I have to buy EXS format? I'm still using Logic 5.5.1 on PC (never got EXS24) and have a separate GigaStudio 3 machine. I'd prefer to buy GS3 format. Michiel Post is a reasonable guy and he'd probably agree to that. Steve Chandler http://www.audiostreet.net/stevechandler http://www.soundclick.com/stevechandler
