Jules, here's a few links to messages related to scroll bat crashing,
there's a work around in one of the messages... (assigning key commands to
scroll)

Hi Howard,
Thanks for the links, that was a good selection of the discussion. I went
into my key
commands list as soon as I read that suggestion and looked for KCs that
would allow me
to do that, but no luck. Has anyone else found the elusive scroll commands
in the KC list?

Take my word for it. There are some plug-ins that aren't validating or
performing properly with Logic 7. BOO HOOO!
But, the fact is, there are a lot MORE plug-ins that ARE working
properly with Logic 7. ALL of Logic's own plug-ins work perfectly with
Logic 7, so when 3rd party companies release software with "Bugs",
it's not Apple's fault. Those "Bugs" will not appear in VST
version,
but they WILL show up in AU. And no, you can't wrap the VST into Logic
as far as I know, although it's worth testing.
The fact that Apple may accommodate the "less than compatible"
plug-ins with a fix, makes Apple a class act.

Why is it with every single issue with Logic we have to go through this
whole performance? Somebody has a genuine problem and tries to get some
help, and a couple of people feel the need to stand up and defend Logic and
Apple, even though nobody's criticizing them.
Jon, I don't care whose problem it is, I was just trying to get some advice
on how to work around it. Four posts above yours, Jody's had Logic crash
with NO 3rd party plugins running - unless you programmed Logic yourself,
how can you be so sure it has nothing to do with Logic, and why bother with
the post at all if it was just to demean people with a legitimate problem
who's software is crashing.
I appreciate people wanting to counter needless criticism of our beloved
host, but this type of propaganda is just pointless. Isn't this list
supposed to be moderated?

Except the ET1, their own guitar tuner. Who's fault is that?
My guitar didn't it like anyway...

ET1 has been rewritten as an internal Logic plugin
inside Logic7. The old one was an external AudioUnit,
which doesn't work in Logic7 (and doesn't need to
work, since the new one completely replaces it and
is improved anyway).

My post was giving the facts. If you take out certain plug-ins you
will not have scroll bar crashes. If there is a specific problem that
Logic itself is causing, please tell us exactly what it is. Or better
yet, tell Apple.
Otherwise, we will have to be patient, and wait for the 3rd party
software makers to come up with a fix. It also seems that Apple is
willing to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of certain plug in makers,
but it will probably take some time to put together an update.
I guess the question is.....why does everything work fine with Apple's
Plugs, Ohmboyz plugs, Elementals plugs, Cameleon, Zebra, UAD-1, and a
ton of other plugs, but not Spectrasonic and WAVES?
I can't create this crash, any other way.

Clearly, then, the fault lies with your guitar ; )

Maybe true. I think my guitar does not like Logic very much. Sometimes
recorded pieces sound completely different than I've played them :)
