I'd be interested if it is as good as advertised.
Michael A. Levine
Has anybody been able to get an audio track in Logic into a QuickTime Movie?
I go through the motions via the menu and the resultant QuickTime has the
audio track but its silent. I opened the exported video in Final Cut Pro,
and although the video plays fine, the audio track is a flat liner.
The inverse of this, extracting the audio from the video to put in the
arrange is not doing anything. I've tried a couple of movies with audio
tracks and "Extract Audio To Arrange" is grayed out, and Extract
Audio From
Movie brings up a window that asks which track you want to extract, but
there are no tracks in the window even though there is clearly an audio
track on the movie that plays fine when you hit play in Logic.
Is this an area that is "under construction" to be
"implemented In a Future
Version of Logic?"
I will add that this is very easy to do using QuickTime Pro. Open a
QuickTime movie. Move the play marker to the frame on which you want the
music to start. Open the Logic mix or audio file in another QuickTime
window. Select all, then copy. Go back to the movie, Command Option V
(Paste-Add) which pops the soundtrack in instantly, save the file and you're
done. With Logic, there appears to be three stages of rendering and saving
from which the net result is no audio. Zup with that?
