Those companies all produce extremely high quality plug-ins, some of the
best of the lot. It hasn't been determined that the plugins are the sole
problem, has it? It could also be a problem how Logic is interacting with
the plugin's graphics and Quartz Xtreme.

Well, when hundreds of Plug-ins work flawlessly and a few don't, I'm
more inclined to believe it's an AU problem with the plug-in rather
than a graphics bug in Logic. I guess time will tell us for sure.
In the meantime, here is a list of working AU plug-ins for Logic 7.

I noticed that Native Instruments and Spectrasonics are included,
which I believe may be a mistake. However, Apple is saying they work
with the correct plug-in version installed.
Good Luck

I have continual scroll bar crashes. So I took Stefan's advice and disabled
Quartz extreme
by using Terminal. I downloaded the app to establish that Quartz was off. It
hasn't made
any difference. Waves plug-ins seem to automatically cause the scroll bar
crash but so do
others. A friend and experienced logic user suggested a good workaround -
just assign
scroll bars to key commands - but it's just remebering not to touch the
dreaded bars. And
not a very dignified solution for a top of the range Apple product.
I had a different nasty crash yesterday - a crash when saving an arrangement
which
corrupted the actual Logic File. So I lost about 2 hours work getting back
from my
previously saved version. Ho hum - preparing for another day of endless
crashes and
weirdness.
