I guess somehow having Logic access the printer port for a MIDI interface while appletalk is on triggers this message, because the Mac must think that appletalk is normally used on the printer port and thinks there will be a problem...I dunno...But from now on, I'm keeping appletalk turned off unless I have to print. " I have the same experience with a MIDI interface on the printer port. And what is worse, if I have Appleshare extension on and I forget to turn appletalk on before shutting down the Mac, rebooting fails, gives address errors, etc. and it takes 20 minutes to get it back up. If anybody knows how to script turning appletalk on when I hit the shut down item - please let me know. Otherwise, anybody know of a cheap brain change? :) Jim Savage
