Hi Paul,
i am not in the studio now, but as far as I know, you can simply do this
by using (global) key commands. Have a look at the key commands list -
the functions should be there.
Good luck,

Sebastian -
Thanks, but the only thing I can find is the Record Enable Track command,
which is tied to whichever track object is selected in the Arrange window,
and that is not what I'm asking for. The problem I keep running into is
when I open a sequence object - usually in a matrix editing window - that is
*not* on the track that is record-enabled in the Arrange window. Clicking on
MIDI events in the Matrix window does trigger the correct sound, but when I
try to play something from the MIDI controller, I trigger the sound from the
track that is (still) record-enabled in the Arrange Window.
Are you following?
Anyway, I feel it would be a big time- and aggravation-saver to be able to
record-enable *any* track from within editing windows besides the Arrange
Window, and, coming as I am from the StudioVision world, the most intuitive
way seemed to me to be to include the same Record/Mute buttons in the other
editing windows as are on the Track objects in the Arrange window.
So that's what I'm asking for.
