Subject: Problems with "the Grand"
Message #172011
I try to run The Grand as AU (converted via VST-AU) I have a dual 533 Mhz G4 and Logic 6.4.3. The Grand makes logic go down if I play to many notes. (I can't play normal things) Best Hydedane

(I can't play > normal things) I experienced the same when I worked with a DP500 G4. The reason is that The Grand was one of the first next-generation VST Instrument, CPU hungry and really hard to play with a "small" CPU. You can try to handle disabling some parameters, such the "True String Release", and the "True sustain resonance". The sound will be a little more poor, but the performance will increase. Try to make some experiment with the "Disk streaming" parameter as well, and... think to your next Mac! Ciao, Danilo
