Subject: RAVE: Logic Pro Noise Gate plugin
Message #171934
I have used a ton of gate plugins on drum tracks with little success. Waves plugins all destroy the attack. Logic's built-in Noise Gate plugin is the one to use. It isolates the tracks without destroying their attack or release. Kudos to Emagic!!!

I have also successfully been using Logics enveloper plug-in to on drum tracks to shape the attack during the mixing phase. All the best Per Boysen --- http://www.boysen.se http://www.looproom.com

It makes cleaning up live drum tracks a breeze if the drummer is good. If the drummer is not so good I sometimes have to automate the threshold of the gate or go in and use gain change destructively on the audio waveform. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Paul Najar Jaminajar Music Production www.jaminajar.com
