Subject: Logic 5 setup/m-audio quattro/yamaha qy 70
Message #169898
Hi, I am a logic newbie and trying to set up my environment: I have an m- audio quattro (audio/midi in out) with a qy 70 attached to the quattro' midi-out port. I am using logic 5.5.1 on windows xp. I also have a separate midi keyboard which is also attached to a USB port. I have gone through the steps to set up the environment, using the qy70 multi which comes with logic in the "various multis" song. The quattro uses the ASIO drivers. The problem is: I have created a simple song with 1 audio file. When I hit play, instead of hearing the audio, the QY70 starts playing some of it's stored patterns, until the MIDI buffer fills up then logic grabs all the PC memory and hangs. I am puzzled, especially since there are no midi tracks in my song. Why is logic sending midi data? This setup has worked with other audio software. Any help appreciated. -Martin
