Subject: Core audio: not enough memory to open plugin
Message #169891
Since moving from Mac OS 10.2 to 10.3 (I think) I now find that several of my plugins and vsti's give me the message "Core audio: not enough memory to open plugin" This seems to be at odds with the memory load of the plugins themselves, as some memory intensive ones load fine. does anyone have any suggestions?

Actually, I get this message if the drive that contains the impulse responses is not mounted. It's space designer complaing with this error message. Maybe (and this really is a maybe) this it's this kind of problem for the other plug-ins as well. Cheers Hans

Actually, I've figured out the problem. All the Plugins were VST plugins wrapped by FXpansion's VST to AU Adapter, and had somehow gone bad. I deleted them all, then re-wrapped them, now they are all working and I am a happy camper! Cheers, Andrew

Did you move anything around when you updated? That error message is often associated with copy protection problems, and some plug ins don't like to be moved back and forth once authorized. If you're using the fxpansion wrapper for your vst's (as I assume you are), you might check on their forum over at K-V-R. Seems like I read others having the same issue. best, Jon
