I just read this:
'Word is starting to get around that Apple is negotiating with Opcode/Gibson
to purchase OMS, The industry-standard MIDI manager software. Since the
future of Opcode looks very bleak at this point, this would be excellent
news for both Mac and Windows users.
Apple could (and should) integrate OMS with Quicktime on both platforms.
There is also the possibility that this could be done on Linux; OMS for
Linux was planned, but I don't know if it was ever started.
With the rising popularity of Linux, Apple should be considering
Quicktime/OMS for that platform as well.'
I don't know if it's good or bad news, but it's interesting.
