I just bought a brand new G4 dual processor 1.3 ghz, combo drive, 1.7 gigs RAM. and as I began to install my OS 9 programs, before even getting to Logic, I had EXCEL opened and the dreaded lawnmower sound ramped up after about 20 minutes in my isobox with the door open. Apple has changed the motherboard and now says that this is just normal fan behavior in OS 9 and that in OS 10 the fan is fine. Obviously I'm quite annoyed/concerned about this since I haven't even begun to do any music/recording yet.
