Does anyone know how to fix this. The program is acting like the wav file is
too large?
Thanks!

Have you tried to change the name?

But Logic on OS X should *not* be balking at a 32+ character
filename... if the OS supports long filenames (and it does) then Logic
should as well...

I've come across a font problem. I have a large number of fonts in my
computer, but Logic does not see any further down the list
(alphabetically) than about the 30th (I have not counted exactly).
This means that I cannot use, for example, Jazzfont, and every time I
open Logic a pop-up tells me that fonts used in my Autoload file are
missing.
Is this a known problem? Short of moving all my fonts elsewhere every
time I use Logic, does anyone have a nice workaround?
Cheers,
Stephen.

Sometimes, all we can do is figure out a workaround. At least those of
us who want to keep working. If I stopped working because I came across
a bug in Logic Pro, or any major music app out today, I would never get
anything done.
The point is this: yes it's broken, figure out how to work around it,
and then carry on. Then send an email to Emagic, and let them know the
exact issue, your total system specs, and hope they get around to
fixing it one day. Don't hold your breath though, some of these bugs
have been around for a long time.
Good Luck, George

At least Logic gives a relatively easy to understand explanation. I was
foxed by this problem in a TroTools session for 20 mins or more because PT
gives you some crazy error code and doesn't make any attempt to tell you
that all you need to do is use a shorter name for your file.

No argument here, it just seems stupid that Logic would hold onto a
pre-OS X failing (one that really should've been resolved long before
OS X IMO).

Guys, this isn't a Logic issue - it's an issue with most all Carbon apps.
Logic is written as a Carbon app so it can play nice in both OS 9 and X,
so that's one of the gotchas - it inherits some of the "failings"
of the
older OS since it has to play nice in both. I don't like it any more than
you guys, but the filename thing rears its head in other Carbon apps like
BIAS Peak, QuickTime Player, even Photoshop, and many others... it
frustrates people like me who use both platforms... I'll name a file in
OS X only to have a great deal of it hidden in Hex code on OS 9... and
even then, many times I have to use the Finder to do the long names, as
many X apps won't let me do it...
I do agree that OS 9 should've gotten this long filename thing 'corrected'
years ago, especially since the HFS+ filesystem (which called for the
capacity to handle 256 character filenames) was added to Mac OS 8.1 in
1997... major bummer that they waited until OS X to finally use it...
