Can someone with a similar system recommend a reliable > sound card? Not that I would ever recommend a Creative Soundblaster for pro audio the Audigy series actually has pretty decent ASIO drivers. I have an Audigy-1 sitting alongside an RME 2496 without problems. Installed the Audigy a few months ago because it has built in Firewire and a 64-voice soundfont hardware sampler, nice for doing quick and dirty arrangements and not bad for $40. Noticed there were ASIO Audigy drivers installed. To my amazement the Audigy ASIO drivers worked quite well at 4ms latency. The downside being that the Audigy only records at it's hardware clock of 48khz when using ASIO. Anyway, are you -sure- you have the ASIO drivers selected? If so, click the control panel button to the right of the ASIO driver selection pop-up. Adjust latency there. HW
