Ok.. I realise this is kind of late to ask this but.. maybe someone here can help me. I own Logic Audio Platinum v4.0 w/ Serial dongle. (DB9) I used it back a few years (stopped playing with music around late 2000) and this was on Win98. I'm not using Windows 2000 Pro and I'm getting back into music. A lot as changed.. Sigh Well, my problem is this. My LAP CD & floppy wont install on Windows 2000. Says I need atleast win95.. Lol I figured how to fool the setup into thinking it was on Win98.. and it installs partly, before crashing my system near the end. I tried to install the Update thinking maybe it would have enough installed but.. No go. I have Logic Audio Install CD Volume 5 btw.. I found in a forum on a website that I might be needing Logic Audio Install CD Vol 13. Can anyone confirm this? Also.. I'm not sure if I can still get this CD from emagic.. since they dont support PC users anymore. :( If not.. Does anyone here have this CD? ..I'm not suggesting anything illegal here.. but if Apple wont sell me the update CD.. I have to find it somewhere else no don't I? I wouldn't be able to do anything without my Serial Dongle anyhow so.. please don't flame me for trying. I'll try to give Emagic in the US a call this week.. see if they can still help me. I hope it wont transfer me to an APPLE support line. Marc

Logic did not install under win 2000/xp up until version 4.8.1, which was made available at a (smallish) cost on a CD from Emagic at the time. > Also.. I am not aware of any official announcement from them that all PC support is dropped, although it is probably safe to assume that they aren't queuing up to support PC users anymore. In any case, if you want to work with Logic 4 under WIn 2000, you need 4.8.1 HTH, kind regards Mark Cahill

I was transfered to a voice mail to leave my info. They have not gotten back to me yet. I called today.. they were closed for "meetings". Man... They work 10-4 Mon-Fri.. and close for meetings?? I want to work there! LOL If they don't have a copy of the CD, I hope they can burn me a copy.. lol Marc
