Hi Ben, I had the same question for Logic a few weeks ago. I phone up the tech support team at Soundtech, and the reply was that Logic itself is unable to take advantage of a Dual Processor, but if you run third party pluggins this will be able to use the second Processor. You should have a look at some very recent messages regarding memory over 512k as there appears to be issues with this and Logic on a PC. Blayz

Tell me if anyone finds this strange.. I recently upgraded my Logic machine to: Asus P4C800 deluxe, 512MEG DDR400 (Kingston) x 4, P4 3.0ghzE (1 meg cache). This is the model with the firewirse, gigalan, SATA, RAID etc.. I have a SATA drive for boot, hyperthreading is on etc etc.. this thing is just blazing. However, in logic I sometimes get "Out of memory" Errors.. ! Weird! Other parts in the machine: Layla20, UAD1, Matrox P750 Triple Head, WinXP Home. I had no issues on my athlon1800. Any Ideas? Neil

First thing that comes to mind is hyperthreading, Logic wasn't designed to deal with multi-processor PCs much less a "virtual" multi-processor system. You can try the VCACHE entry in the system.ini to see if it makes any difference. If you don't have a VCACHE entry in the system.ini copy and paste the entry below. [VCACHE] MinFileCache@960 MaxFileCache@960 Howard
