No, the best platform AND the best DAW are what work best for ME and
everyone else better use them or they're idiot dumb-heads.

Actually, on a more serious note, it's amazing what tools we have and taking
a few seconds not to compare them, all of the stuff currently out there is
pretty amazing compared to where we are at 10 and especially 20 and 30 years
ago. Another note in the Akai group reminded me of that. And, as this list
can't resist off-topic wars and such (not singling this list out, either,
most are like that), how about we redirect this to what were we using 10
years ago? I was using a Tascam Porta-something 4-track tape recorder and I
don't think I had yet gotten into using a computer yet for sequencing;
instead I had a Roland MSQ-700 sequencer. It was around that time, maybe a
year or so later, when I started using a sequencing package it was Cakewalk
(1 or 2, not sure) for DOS.
