Hi Christian,
Thanks for your reply. I am sorry but I forgot something to add to the
information. The new CDRW is a scsi one and the other is a IDE. It used to
show up when I started up the computer. The Bios saw it as a Master slave, I
was even able to start up from the cdrom.
Can there be a conflict between a IDE apparatus and a SCSI one? The scsi
card is on IRQ 10 and there are no conflict between any devices. As far as
my system tells me and I can't find any conflict either.
I am not very familiar with the differences between IDE and SCSI but I hope
that I can solve the conflict soon.
