Rather annoyingly, my trusty TiBook 800 started screen fading to black while covering the recent MESSE show, I think there is something overheating on the motherboard - but (aint it always the way?) I need a replacement fast, or maybe tips on what might be broke. Am I likely to get adequate (or equvalent) performance from a 1gHZ 15" iBook, or should I get the 1gHz Powerbook? Any suggestions welcome.

I ghz and 756 meg ram, extra hard drives, and I have the best portastudio I ever dreamed of.. I'd give it a big thumbs up!
