Hey All, <Mac/PC comparison snipped by admin> My main question is - Will Panther improve my performance on a 1ghz G4 over Jaguar? Or should I save the money for other goodies? Are there any OSX tweaks that really work? I have the original 2/6 interface, dual monitors with the original video card, a UAD-1 card ( sweet! ), the waves plugins, and I'm often running at least 8 to 16 audio tracks and 8 or more instruments. I have multiple firewire drives as well. The stuff I'm doing won't be so audio file intensive - Its mainly the processor that takes a hit. I'm finally getting some real "pro" work so any time savers will help! Thanks in advance, Scott

Panther is faster (maybe not with screen redraws in Logic but rather overall). And they fixed a lot inside the system. > Are there any OSX tweaks that really work? hmm.. don't tweak, don't cry :) We had a very good system tweaker here. Oddly enough he re-installed his Mac every three months or so... Peter Ostry
