I tried searching for the correct thread, but I am having trouble
solving this one.
Is there any way to currently get Logic 6 pro and get the windows 5.5
version as well? I have a friend who wants to buy Logic, but he can't
afford a Mac yet. He is willing to pay the Logic 6 Pro price but wants
to use the old PC version for a little while. Is this possible in any
way?
Thanks,
pfokus

You need to check whether the new pro key has cross platform functionality,
otherwise try to get an old stock logic 6 which does. (He can upgrade
later). I managed to do this for a student (although with V 6 not pro). I
had to burn a CD of Logic 5 for him and his Logic 6 key had to be
authorized for Windows cross platform on a mac. (I confirmed with Emagic
that this was OK). Or else you could look out for V5 on ebay, but make sure
it is legit with XS key of course and the seller is prepared to authorise
transfer of registration.
