Dear Genius and ever helpful LUG person,
Audio Midi Setup sums my stereo output object in logic, to mono.
If i'm playing back audio on a mono object, sending to 1 & 2 out,
and panning right and left, it sums it to mono at the stereo
output. I am using the A62 audio interface. If I open Audio Midi
Setup, I can see, that down in the white boxes, bottom left, I have
the channel 1 & 2 volumes up, but on the bottom right, the "M"
volume slider (mono) is active, but channel 1 & 2 are greyed out.
This has happened only recently, maybe since I installed
Garage Band or a Midiman USB driver? I've found little
information on Audio Midi Setup, and none on it's mono slider.
I'm on a mixing deadline and the songs are 48k, so I can't cheat
with the internal sound card, which seems to work in stereo. If I
switch the stereo output to mono, I get an output signal when the
mono channel feeding it is panned left. When I pan right, less or
no visual signal, however, I continue hearing the track, and the
stereo spectrum returns with a little bleed. Thanks for any help -
