Hi all,
Just came back from a little south by southwest tour and was thrilled to see
a big box
waiting for me with my Logic Pro upgrade. I was expecting an envelope with
some access
codes, but was salivating when I opened the box to see all new printed
manuals (I'm a bit
of a manual junkie). I was disappointed, however, that the Logic reference
manual was no
different from the one I recieved when I bought Logic 6 almost a year ago.
The new Logic Pro 6 manual is different from my Logic 6 Platinum manual in
only three
ways:
1. New cover (grey rather than blue)
2. Thinner, lighter paper (leading to a smaller overall book)
3. A slight repositioning of text in Chapter 10 (around the ASIO section and
the Roland VS
support section) that make the new book 2 pages longer overall, but without
any
additional text.
Meanwhile, I certainly do not need two identical 800 page manuals, and being
that I will be
in Los Angeles for at least the next few months, do not anticipate needing
any kindling to
start any fires. So, assuming it is legal for me to do so, I would be happy
to donate my old
Logic manual (nearly identical to the new one) to any educational institute
which teaches
the Logic software. Just show me something to demonstrate that you fit this
criteria, and
the book is yours.
Save a tree,
Paul
