The short answer is "no", although there are complex workarounds that allow you to accomplish the same thing with way too much effort. Nor does Logic have a truly independent subsequence capability like Studio Vision used to have years and years ago. I was talking recently with John Keane (composer on CSI) and he told me that this feature - or lack of it - is his single biggest complaint about Logic. Although it always feels as though Emagic puts the needs of film composers pretty far down its list of priorities, if enough of us grouse about the same thing, it will be dealt with (eventually). This chunk/subsequence idea seems long overdue. Cheers, Michael A. Levine

And in Studio Vision you could have subsequences with different tempos overlapping or running simultaneously. I still miss that for film composing. The only work around I'm aware of in Logic is to smpte lock all the regions. You can then change the tempo and it will still sound the same even if the grid and notation features are then useless. ...I'm not sure what happens to automation w/ this workaround though.

That was my first sequencer ever, even as far back as when it was called the "Midimac" sequencer circa 1987, later changed to "Vision" and then eventually "Studio Vision". And it always had that cool concept of having multiple sequences strung together into songs...even overlapping, etc.. Some other cool concepts. I don't know anything else that really works that way now...and I truly miss it.
