For those who want a comparison, I suggest going to the *appropriate newsgroups*. I do not personally know the ProTools one. The PARIS one is at greatidea.com, called rec.audio.ensoniqparis You will find in the PARIS newsgroup a lot of passion about the product because *people like it*, not because they are (generally anyway) trying to justify their expenditure. You will also find LOTS of bitching about what it doesn't do. You will ALSO find (IMHO another great thing about PARIS compared to almost any other software/hardware) that the tech support guys for the software are on there all the time and actually take the time to respond to questions. The point is not that anyone should choose PARIS - if possible you really should listen to both and ask questions of those using both. My point is that the PARIS newsgroup, at least, is a great source of info, good and bad, and, yes, biased towards PARIS. I'm sure there are great ProTools lists/newsgroups that are generally biased towards ProTools as they should be and I imagine they have good info. I just don't know where one is. Back when I was making the evaluation between the two I talked to reps from both company, both at presentations and off-line and wasn't using newsgroups/lists at that time. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dedric Terry <dedric@...> To: <logic-users@onelist.com> Sent: Friday, December 03, 1999 2:19 PM Subject: Re: [LUG] Kryotech Athlon Review - Brian Tankersley > From: "Dedric Terry" <dedric@...> > > >>Some times I wonder if these guys are doing real music instead of counting > >>tracks > > > >Don't you know who Brian T is? > >Look at at least a hundred of the CD's coming out from Nashville the last 20 > >years or so... > >You will find his name on them. > >Among others the latest Shania Twain... > > > > Great!
