A gaping hole opened in the earth, and nearly swallowed our hero. While he managed to escape the chasm, he _did_ skip a beat while asking a question of his fellow Logicians: <<What is the best (quietest as well) audio box is for the $$$? PCI or NuBus?>> OK ... what I _meant_ is, which is the quietest external audio interface available that LAM G can use on a PCI or NuBus Mac? I've read all this stuff about how external units (like my beloved, but aging and somewhat short on the track / fx department CBX-D5) are so much quieter than internal units i.e. AW8 / AM III / Korg1212 / etc. So, what is the consensus on this matter? Though I love noise (i've got this CD-RW I bought from ClubMac that lets me hear the noise going on the SCSI bus if I turn up the gain and trims on my Mackie as high as they'll go, and I think this rocks) I want to control what noise, and where, like everyone does. Suggestions welcomed! Regards, John Falling You http://www.mp3.com/fallingyou
