I have LAP 6.3.3 on dual G4 with OSX 10.2. In some audio regions
on the Arrange page, when I have the volume hyperedit displayed
in it and try to create or move a break point in it, LAP crashes.
This happens consistently for those particular audio regions.
Most recently, it was for the last audio region in the sequence of
that track, if that matters. This happened with an audio region in
another song recently, and I managed to work around it.
Is this a known software defect? Is there a workaround? Thanks.

Hi Brian,
it´s the same to me. I recognized the crash when I display hyperedit
volume
at the arrangepage. Everytime I cut and crossfade an audioregion and try to
edit the volume of the last region it crashes permanent.

FYI, I just received my Logic Pro 6 upgrade (aka v6.4.1) and this
bug was not fixed.
Namely, as Peter below notes, Logic crashes if you try to create or
move a hyperedit volume break point in an audio region on the
Arrange Page if that audio region has an audio region just ahead of
it and there is a crossfade between the two regions. You have to
either make your hyperedit edits before applying the crossfade, or
undo the crossfade, make your hyperedit edits, then reapply the
crossfade.

I'm replying to my own message here just to make sure that Emagic
see it to know that this is something that should be something to
fix sooner rather than later. It would be great to get a
maintenance fix on the internet (v6.4.2? for Logic Pro users) soon.
This is a bug that is very time consuming for me to work around, so
much so that I will probably transfer my files to work in Pro Tools
to finish all my audio editing. Having to undo cross-fades, and
reapply them perfectly, and the added difficulty in tweeking the
relationship between a cross-fade and volume hyperedit on the
Arrange page for a given blending of two audio regions is taking
lots of extra time because of this bug and the way it is forcing me
to work. I love Logic, but this is driving me batty.
Much appreciated.

Unfortunately, this has not been fixed in 6.4.2. :-(
