Hi,
I'm a novice user of Logic, and I'm just getting used to recording drums
using midi. I'd
like to record different drums on different tracks (e.g., HH on 1, snare on
2 etc), but I'm
finding that only channel 10 is used for drum kits. I can have 10 different
pianos, but only
one drum kit, but it's drums that I want "spread" over several
tracks! Is there a setting in
Logic that will allow me to assign drum data to more than one channel?
Thanks
Phil H.

Hey Phil!
Try click-holding on the RECORD BUTTON in the Transport.... Then go to
> Record Options (or something).
You will then see some GREAT options... Many of them are very
self-explanatory. You could also read about them more in the manual,
and the Logic Help system on your computer.
But, the one you should look into for sure is the "create new track in
cycle mode" and other ones there at the top.... Don't have Logic open
right now in front of me, but you will see what I mean if you do the
above.
Lots of cool stuff there....
Take care,
Chris M.
