Subject: Ibook G4 + Logic6 ?
Message #158350
How does a ibook g4 800 with 640mb ram, ext. firewire-drive perform together with logic6+? I am interested in basic hardd. recording with plug-ins like compressors, eq and some few reverbs. Not bigscale productions. Does anyone use the Ibook like this with a successfull story to tell? Thanks // Jay Jay

I don't have the new iBook, but I did have the old G3 one, and it didn't do too bad on Logic when I had it. I think that an iBook with a G4 and that much RAM (which I didn't have either), and an external hard drive, to store your samples and audio files, would do just fine for what you are looking for. There is no reason that it would not. Hope that this is helpful! Chris M.
