Hi together,
I think it was discussed before but I´m not able to find it in the
archive. My problem:
G4/400 704 MB Ram Hammerfall DSP Card and Multiface
- When I open an application which uses Core Audio (ITunes, Quicktime,
Logic etc) i don´t hear anything. I first have to open the hammerfall
DSP Mixer and then I hear Sound.
- In Logic I have clicks and crackles and pops when I hear Audio Files
even when I put the I/O buffersize to 1024 samples.
I know that my G4/400 is not the fastest thing (I´m waiting on the new
G5 2,5Ghz) but I think there should be a way to run it more smoothly.
Thanks for your help

Uwe,
I'm assuming you have the latest RME drivers. I may be wrong but sounds as
if Hammmerfall mixer & DSP isn't in your start-up folder. They need to
be
there so that they automatically open up when you log into your user
account/boot up the computer. If you are running Panther it's in System
Preferences/Accounts/Start up. If you haven't already done so, find
Hammerfall DSP & Hammerfall Mixer on your HD and drag them into the
start-up
items box...check hide on both. In Jaguar I think it's under the Apple
icon...
Good luck!

Who can read has a clear advantage ;-) The information was also in the
ReadMe File. Seems that everything is ok now.
