I have been using the Event 20/20bas (bi-amplified system) speakers for almost two years. I really like them and have not felt a need to look into any other monitors. I like to mix "flat" and have used an EV 1/3 octave stereo EQ to make adjustments for the speakers and room. Noone who has been in my studio has ever "complained" about the performance of the Events. When I bought mine, the bi-amplified systems were highly recommended over standard monitors (i.e. monitors and power amp seperate). Hope this helps. steve@... wrote: From: steve@... I've heard the Dynaudio BM15s (passive)and found them very revealing and warmer than Genelec's with decent bottom. At $700 list they're very reasonable if have a decent amp around. There is an active version (BM15A) for considerably more $$. I've heard them as well, after I was done wiping off my chin I realized my wallet was insufficiently equipped. I have not heard the others but IMHO the Genelecs with the SUB sound good....
