I have been using the Event 20/20bas (bi-amplified system) speakers for
almost
two years. I really like them and have not felt a need to look into any
other
monitors. I like to mix "flat" and have used an EV 1/3 octave
stereo EQ to
make adjustments for the speakers and room. Noone who has been in my studio
has ever "complained" about the performance of the Events.
When I bought mine, the bi-amplified systems were highly recommended over
standard monitors (i.e. monitors and power amp seperate).
Hope this helps.

I've heard the Dynaudio BM15s (passive)and found them very revealing and
warmer than Genelec's with decent bottom. At $700 list they're very
reasonable if have a decent amp around. There is an active version (BM15A)
for considerably more $$. I've heard them as well, after I was done wiping
off my chin I realized my wallet was insufficiently equipped.

I have not heard the others but IMHO the Genelecs with the SUB sound
good....
