Only cards I know that handle Soundfonts well are the ones by Creative, the Soundblasters Live and AWE, which I use. I've got a couple of synths(01/W, K4, Cs1x and QY10) but I still like the sounds of Soundfonts more for some work. They have more attitude, if you tweak them a little. As a sampler Soundfonts come in very handy. Unless if you want to use long samples. In that case with the Soundblaster Live you can still your computer's RAM. For analog stuff I wouldn't use Soundfonts, they start to sound dull after a while. That's why I use the K4, with aftertouch and resonant filters you can sweep the way you want. There are some great utilities to edit Soundfonts. There is the Awave, which I use, to edit your samples and to do keymapping or Vienna that comes with most SB cards. With Awave you can convert files of different synths to Soundfonts, or other types if you wish. Hope to have informed you, Yoonchi. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ ¥ððn©hí "Change has always come from small minorities."
