Hi,
you don't say if you have the AX44, but I will assume you do. With
the AX44 it is really simple. This is how I do it. I route all the audio
tracks in Logic to outputs 5 & 6 including the midi audio feed which
comes in on 17 & 18. I then route two patch leads from the AX44
outputs 3 & 4 ( which is 5 & 6 in Logic, as the DSP 2416 outputs
are 1 & 2 ) into inputs 1 & 2 on the AX44 ( 3 & 4 in Logic as
the
DSP 2416 inputs are 1 & 2 ), and set the two channels in Logic 13
& 14 to record. When you play the song now you should get an
input on your 13 & 14 tracks, which if you have set as a stereo pair
should give you your master track. If you are not truly mastering,
but just bouncing then you can just route whatever tracks in Logic
to outputs 5 & 6 that you want to mix.
A good little tip is you can sometimes route a midi's audio mix in
this way and create a wav file and then manipulate it for effects. For
instance I recently did this for a bass guitar part (general midi) and
then routed it back through the 'Pod' and got some good natural
bass guitar sounds which I then fed through Sound Forge to clean
up any noise and change frequencies slightly. It was a bit long
winded and took a while but the end result was well worth it.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Phil
