I'm having real trouble creating a de-esser by sidechaining. Here's what I've done: -Bus 5-6 has the EQs and sh** on its inserts, and sends to bus 7-8 -Bus 7-8 shows activity, and is hence routed to no output When I do the following step, the activity in bus 7-8 disappears. -Vocal track (mono to stereo) has a compressor that has bus 7 in its sidechain. And the compr. doesn't seem to be doing any gain reduction activity, even with attack, threshold in minumum and ratio in full. What to do? Help, you pros out there? Anyone?
