Subject: G4 ... non-SCSI etc
Message #9683
A few miscellaneous questions.... I heard that there is no onboard scsi on the new G4? If true, does that imply that the included non-scsi hard drive is fast enough to handle logic ..... audio files, plugins etc? While the built-in USB interface took care of extra peripherals hookup ... would I need to get a SCSI card and similar hard drive to boost the system performance even more? 1. Will USB adapter works fine with MTP AV if I need to hook it up to a G4? (My MTP AV is not the new USB type) 2. Is the audiowerk8 card compatible with Digital Performer? 3. Can Logic @ DP work together on the same PC (Mac), as long as they are not in use simultaneously? 4. I see signs of fatigue on my PC (Plll 450Mhz 192MB 20Gig.) whenever I am using screen sets or engaging a few plugins on LAWP4.0 ??? How can I tweak my system, memory allocation etc. to get a little better performance? thanks... WillyDon
