First of all, I HIGHLY recommend that you get a small, inexpensive midi keyboard... Even if you can't play piano, it is INDISPENSABLE for input into Logic... Heck, you can always do "step input sequencing" and or slow down the tempo to match your abilities... I would recommend something *like* M-Audio's "Oxygen 8" for NON-keyboardists, but even non-keyboardists might have a need for more keys than that at one time (like me). And hey, EVEN keyboardists themselves might have a use for a small 25-key unit like the Oxygen 8! My point is understood though... so I will stop now. For right now, open up a MATRIX Editor (from the WINDOWS menu up top) and use the piano roll keyboard that is there. Make sure that your ES1 audio instrument track is selected as well. Chris M.
